PlayWell Performing Arts boasts 2,220 sq. ft. of open dance studio space (Room #201) with restored heart pine wood floors and 700 sq. ft. adjoining office/lobby space/waiting room (Room #216) for casting and auditions, as well as a large front hallway for queuing. The studio can also be used as a dance theater performance space.

The office space (Room #216) also serves as the Greenroom for our retro, classically restored 1921 high school auditorium theater that seats 890. With warm, reverberant acoustics, microphones are not necessary, and lighting is authentically minimal. The kitschy, original feel makes the theater a long time favorite for music videos and film shoots, particularly those involving schools.

PlayWell is located in Old Taylor High, a converted high school that includes a full service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner in what was once the band room, as well as a beer garden and oyster bar located in former classrooms and a huge, full service event space in the former gymnasium. There is ample parking and green space around the building for shooting, and truck access is available on the North side of the building.

PlayWell is conveniently located in picturesque Taylor, TX, 40 minutes northeast of Austin within walking distance of downtown Taylor coffee shops, shopping, and eateries, as well as the Taylor Amtrak station in Williamson County, just off the TX-79 Highway.
